Cheap Tablt for magazines on the beach

I was about to by some magazines for my upcoming holiday when I realized it might be cheaper to buy a R500 tablet and use it only for magazines on the beach instead of spending R500 on mags which I will throw away in any case.
Can anyone recommend a R500 tab- basically will only need it for magazine pdf's

Even 2nd hand you'll get a crappy 7" for that price. S'pose you could go to a china mall and get those real crappy ones with 2gb rom, 385mb ram and a horrible 7" display

just beware,underpowered tablets and magazines do not go nicely together. Even on my Asus with Quad core chip it lags, so these dual cores with 512mb will probably die.

This is a really good buy, it wont disappoint in the long run either.

Also just be careful that your tablet will be able to take being in direct heat. I took mine on holiday one day and it would switch off if it got to hot.

Would also recommend a Kindle, but not sure if you will be able to get one within your budget. Works great in direct sunlight with no glare, whereas my Tab I want to send into orbit when the light is wrong for it and the highly reflective screen!
