uhhhh... unless of course he wants to play on live with it

at least, thats what i've been told by the guys from xbox-360.co.za

otherwise, go to the above forums and buy a second hand unit there :)

i doubt he wont be able to play on xbox live...

ok well, he can test it out for us and tell us how to do it :D the xbox modders from the local community don't want to risk it

It's not that simple as u try to make it ! Ever heard of Rom keys etc. Only Certain drives are allowed and even if the drive is bigger than 120gigs the 360 will still only recognise 120gigs due to restrictions imposed by ms on the firmware of the HDD ;)

i did a bit of research on the interwebz and it turns out that you can indeed buy a bigger 2.5" hard drive to replace your 20GB but there are a few catches:

1) you can only use western digital bevs sata drives

2) no matter how big your drive is, you will be limited to a maximum of 120GB (or an effective 107GB)

quite a few people have done this hack and so far in my searching no one has reported being banned from live with just that hack, and its been out for a while already (apr 2007). now to get my hands on that western digital bevs drive...
