Cheaper .Asp Website hosting

Hello,

A friend of mine recently had her website done by a private web development company. I must admin It looks very nicely done, only problem is that it is written in .asp (Proprietary microsoft standard?) Now she has to pay R300 per month for hosting on a microsoft server?

Isn't there a cheaper alternative than to host on microsoft servers? How hard will it be to convert it to php?

Just host it overseas. I pay about R20/month for asp.net hosting overseas.
 
You can always contact me, I have a server oversee that i can host the site for you for a small amount than what you will pay now. :)
 
I've been with servergrid.net now for almost 5 years and had no issues. The thing i really like about them is you can host unlimited domains on a hosting package.
 
what does she get for the R300 though? The more expensive MS hosting options often have more advanced mail (hosted exchange / SmarterMail / etc), Stats & other stuff included which the cheap Plesk hosting options doesn't include. She may loose very valuable business related options, so just double check on this.
 
Try Godaddy. Been with them for a while now. No issues yet and quite decent pricing too
