Hi

I seen on Pricecheck.co.za that you can get a 1080p projector for around R1300.

Are these any good?
I would be using them purely to watch movies and series everyday.

Are you missing a 0? If not then no, it would be terrible.
If so, then yes, you can pick up a decent 1080p for R13000. Just depends on what quality you want in an image.

Many would argue to rather get a decent TV for the same price.

We have an Optoma HD20, it's ok. The room needs to be darked as its only rated at 1,700 lumens.
Sport in full HD is amazing, but some dark movies aren't so good.

I wasn't missing an 0. Lol.

I was just curious about it. But thanks for the info. Will probably rather get a decent TV.

Sounds like a scam to me.....

I've got an Acer P1500 and it works brilliantly, can watch in the day as long as no light is directed at the screen

Saw a 1080p projector for around R8k a couple weeks ago. It was an Epson/InFocus/Optoma, can't recall now.
