So,

My tytn just bit the dust. which is rather unfortunate because the X1 is not available on contract yet, and and i can't live without a phone.

So i thought about picking up a clicks cheapie, but the thought of spending the December hols without 3G frightens and confuses me.

what is the cheapest 3G temp phone in the running?

You might find second hand Nokia 6233 or 6234 up for grabs quite cheaply as these are just over two years old and people on contract are upgrading these handsets now. It's a stable phone on 3G and works well as a modem with PC Suite.

I have a 6233. Very good phone. And well made. I have dropped it a few times, and works like new (and surpisingly, looks new still as well)

What about the Nokia 3120. Very capable looking phone with 3G and a camera with a flash!
