Cheapest 4K, LED, 3D, Smart TV's

I think what's important is that we now have two technologies converging.

One is the incredible blacks/contrast of OLED. Only Plasma comes close to that. With Pioneer Kuro and Panasonic Viera on their way out an OLED set will be the only way to go.
UHD/4K. High pixel counts with the same mediocre LED.

For both techs you end up paying through the roof.

With these Chinese made generic sets - one never knows what sort of contrast one will get. Maybe they're good and I guess for $600 one could risk it and import one of these. But right now there is no 4K content available and so I would wait until more cheaper models arrive.

When plasmas first launched they cost R100K for a 42 inch Extended Definition sets.

I guess the killer deal will be a UHD OLED. :)

From what I've read and seen the only reason you'd want one of those cheap 4K screens is if you really need the resolution on a desktop environment. For video etc. you're better off getting a decent FullHD panel.
