Who can recommend what for the cheapest possible calls on any network?

I started buying Anytime Minutes instead of making calls straight off airtime and my airtime expenditure has been significantly reduced.

Cell C has a deal on prepaid. 900 anytime minutes (valid for 1 month) for R200. Should be more than enough for the average person.

Freshphone with a VOIP phone, either wired or via a mobile phone using data

R0,36/min to Telkom, R0,69 to mobile. I buy a 120mb/month package from CellC for R120 once off for a whole year. Calls use hardly any data and unused data carries over. Bought this package in Jan and have 1175mb left today

FF permits you to port a Telkom number, but you get an 087- number for a mobile phone. You can hide the number and people called see a “Number withheld” message which can put off some people

Have been testing mytelnet for the last 4 days. Call quality on Rain 5G basic good so far. I had to buy a geographical number because some people will not answer a 087.. Still looking for international call rates.

MTN also has cheap all net voice calls like R199 for 900min.

Havex voip app is also pretty decent.

Havex voip app is probably the best of the voip apps since they use their own local push server so the app doesn't drain battery.

Get one of the Telkom Mo'Nice voice bundles. It's quite cheap at 10 minutes for R5 to call any network.
50c per minute. If you buy the bigger bundles it works out even cheaper.

You can't get the 1c per second any more I assume?

I'm on the Telkom Thola More tariff. 30c/min to Telkom and 69c/min to other networks.

The Havex VOIP service does not look to bad. Might give it a try.

How much is freshphone per min to other networks?

Telkom prepaid, currently, getting "free" airtime that lasts 7 days with each recharge amount (R50 gives R50 free airtime), calls on free airtime are 1.95 per minute, after enough airtime added up, bundle airtime, 50 minutes for R30, all this billed per second.
