As per title - where (Cape Town, if that makes a difference) can I find cheap cookware that'll work on an induction stove. Preferably non-stick.
Thought it would be easier to ask here than wander through many stores with a magnet...

Just watch out for too thin metal base - I've seen them warp very quickly

Don't buy cheap. Get good cast iron cookware and put it in your will.

I bought an el cheapo Legend range that works 100%. Still working fine 3 years later with heavy use (I use that instead of a kettle for coffee etc). Similar to the ones gflanman posted.

NB don't specifically ask for induction marked ones. Those are always marked up with a hectic premium. Just bring a magnet along & test whether the base is magnetic. Often the cheap ones are.

And finally watch out for non-stick coatings...they REALLY don't like induction. Even the name brand ones marked for induction. It'll work but the coat won't last very long.

Personally I'd get cheap pots (for cooking watery stuff) and a more expensive ceramic non-stick pan. Pretty sure those will cope better long term than teflon.

Also...if possible avoid using induction for anything that isn't liquid. Making stuff like eggs sunny side up is very difficult because the bottom part burns before the top is done
