Hey,

Who is currently the cheapest ADSL service provider. I need to be able to buy the accounts with a credit card online, or they need to be open 24/7 or late, so I can send them proof of payments after hours, etc.

I'm not looking for 1Gig accounts, but at least 5Gig accounts, up to 20Gig accounts.

Axxess for example is cheap, per Gig, but if you by 1 or 100, it costs the same, actually more expensive, the more you buy....

Cheers!

I find this happening more and more on this forum... people just shout for the ISP they are currently using without reasons given.

If you were paying prepaid with carry over of unused data you would pay

Axxess 5Gb Shaped R349
Webafrica 5Gb Shaped R350

Axxess 10Gb Shaped R699
Webafrica 10GB Shaped R700

So not much difference there...

If you were not interested in carry overs you would pay...

Axxess 5Gb Shaped R299
Webafrica 5Gb Shaped R290

Axxess 10Gb Shaped R599
Webafrica 10GB Shaped R490

So Webafrica wins this one on higher cap accounts on shaped. If we look at unshaped packages Axxess kicks butt!

EDIT : Let me put that better! :)

CyberSmart is very cheap on a 3 gig cap and their Night Rider service is awesome, been using it for 4 months now and the speeds in the evenings are excellent and their service is very reliable. 15 gig's for R125 if you only use it during the evenings

I also have a cybersmart account, but bear in mind the speeds during peak times is very slow, and the nightrider option where you get 5 times more your cap is only available form 1am to 7:59am.

I guess if you schedule your downloads during that time, u fine.
I dont like their support, they refuse to tell how to use my modem in bridge mode, the support guys say they not trained in bridging or something. Wot bull.

In terms of cost for 3gig accounts they probably one the cheapest, but exceed your cap and youre paying R70 per gig afterwards.

Why not ask on this forum? :D

CyberSmart support staff are only trained in answering the most basic questions, that way they save money and keep prices down

Do you get local with any of these ISP's, like with (sorry for using profanity) Helcom

I don't think so ATM eh..

If you want the Local you have to use Telkom.. except if you're willing to settle for 30GB IS (instead os Telkom's SAIX) local, then it's R130pm from Openweb/WebAfrica..

Edit : Openweb also has a similar 3/27GB account, for I think about R159pm.. Again it's IS though, so I settled for Telkom..

I have :
  • Telkom 3GB
  • Telkom 2GB
  • WebAfrica Local IS 30GB
  • WebAfrica Prepaid SAIX
:D :D :D Yeah, I can actually finish everything some months.. :D :D :D
