Cheapest local bandwidth

I'm still looking for the cheapest opstion... The WA one of R130:30gig IS is the cheapest I have seen so far, but it is on contract, which I don't mind.

Can anyone please confirm if mweb still has "uncapped" local after your international has been reached, cause if it is so, that will be the cheapest... Also, can you get a mweb account over the internet

I pay R135 for a 2GB international and 30GB local best price ever! http://skyway.co.za Month to month or Temp (one month) accounts. Payments Cash Deposite/EFT and Debit order. Very nice place! It's much cheaper than WA!!! R5 more and get 2GB international. What the heck do you want to buy a 30GB local only then! pointless! Go with skyway got my account in less than a hour after sending proof of payment!

Yes. Just want to mention its much faster than SAIX during peak times!!! I download torrents at my max speed 24/7 but with telkom torrents during office hours = 10-15kbs max!

now how can i download torrents at 350kbps with telkom during office hours if what you saying is true?

@Cavedog: The website list it as R149.

Either way, that *is* a good price. Too bad that its only valid for 1 month.

Yes. The Lite is the one I'm using. Now the only difference I can see you don't get any email with the lite. Most people don't even use that email they use gmail or other email. :D

Ohh I can't get good speed with telkom on torrents during office hour. I don't know why? Maybe its just me. But IS works better for me cause I don't play games on international servers I only use it for browsing and downloading so IS is very good for me! :D

Axxess's local prepaid bandwidth is ideal for occasional gamers. Their local-only bandwidth runs on the SAIX network so ping rates are very low, they are in the 35ms range for me. Combine this local-only account with your international bandwidth ISP + Route Sentry and you've got a winning combination

Cool.:)

I'll get one of those next time I need gigs.

I got the ADSL Lite temp yesterday, asked a few questions through their email support and got it without any problem (EFT). My first ADSL ISP account, quite happy. This is a temp acc until I decided which ISP I want for contract, but local R130 30g + Unshapped unlimited VPN seems quite good for me..

Social Flu just updated their website - R8 per gig local and apparently it's SAIX bandwidth. I am going to email them to make sure, but I already canceled my Telkom Internet account today to sign up with Social Flu.

still shows R10/gig to me???

I've been on openweb's 30gb local account for a year or two. And that's pretty cheap, and most of the time pretty fast. It costs like R130 and comes with 2 gigs international for free :D Which is pretty win.

Screamer is the cheapest at the moment. I get 30Gigs up and 10 Gigs down in a month for R399. Connection is crap though most of the time... But in terms of volume (international bandwidth), I'd go screamer. If you want stability, go afrihost.
