Cheapest local onyl SAIX with topup.

Okay since SocialFlu, went and prematurely segfaulted, I was hoping to get their R8/GB thing.. who does the cheapest SAIX local only bandwidth? I assume Axxess is the best, they do SAIX, right?

I also want a topup system, that would be nice if I can topup when I need more, but don't wanna have to do it in 3,5,10 intervals, just per GB would be great.

You could go with Web Africa for R19 a gig!!! No seriously I do not know how (or even if) they manage to sell SAIX local for R19/GB.

Axxess is R10/GB month-by-month and R12/GB prepaid.

I'm not sure about top-ups on the month-to-month though, never tried it personally...

Just get a telkom 1 gig account. Itll get you 11 gigs(1 int + 10 local) right off the bat so you wont have to worry about topups.

It goes for around R70, so you effectively paying R6.36 a gig.
 
It's very unreliable. Some days it works and other days it won't even connect.

I, personally, have never experienced SAIX going down for more than a few hours. It's A LOT more reliable than IS for sure!

Uncached stuff on IS will be slow all the time, uncached stuff on SAIX after hours is a lot faster. I don't know about the 4MB guys but after 18h00 at night I get full line speed (384)...

You get these speeds every night from 18h00 until 08h00 the next day and from 18h00 Friday until 08h00 Monday. Considering the deal from TI as mentioned above it is definitely worth it.

Obviously at the end of the month things do slow down (since >90% of people use their local gigs at the end of the month), but the first 15-20 days at least of any month has no hassles ;)
 
Yeah, I'm not even going to use the international 1GB, ust use it on my second PPPoE session for local split. But the prob that bugs me is it's not hardcapped, I'm paranoid about going over my limit.

Ohwell, will just have to rig up my own capping system :)
 
I use axxess its unshaped saix at R10/GB and you can topup in any amount from 1GB up at the same price.
