Cheapest PS3 slim unit before this weekend

My buds partner gave him the ok to go buy a PS3 this weekend... are there any specials running that are noteworthy.

Otherwise I am going to tell him to get it from Makro.

At the moment the 250GB model + Game seems to be selling for R4300. Most stores seem to have this price...

I'm well aware this does not help, but I just paid $300 in USA for the 250gb slim. Roughly R2300. Amazing the price difference.

I think the ps3 slim was going for R2999inc last week at makro

ya. the 120gb is 3k at makro at the moment

My Brother-in-law bought the 120Gb from Makro for R2999 about a week ago and then replaced the HDD with a 320Gb HDD for R450.

AFAIK the HDD can be replaced without affecting the warantee.
