Cheapest sound card with EQ

Any one know what the cheapest sound card is that has a software Equalizer? Or a way of adding an equalizer to an existing on board sound card. I dont really feel like buying a hardware equalizer, and figured it will probably be cheaper with one built into the sound card.

maybe i'm missing something - but all decent media players (WM, winamp) have equalisers you can use

I needed one which can run as a separate application, so that if i play games, watch movie, youtube etc, the EQ will always be present. However, after a driver update (was quite hard to find it), it seems soundmax has decided to add an EQ to their drivers.

Get yourself one of those R100 cards which is also 5.1 etc, and because it will most likely use a Realtek chipset, a general application (mostly running in the system tray) will be available which you can use to adjust the overall sound output from the PC. But like gregmcc mentioned - descent media players have EQs you can use...
