its not 2.4 MB, it's 2.4 Mb.

if you take 2.4 Mb (Megabits) which is 2400 Kb (Kilobits) and devide it into 8 (cause there are 8 bits in a byte) then you get 300 KB.

so 2.4 Mb/s = 300 KB/s

* The peak would therefore be 300KB/s *

Right+Wrong. He says 2.4mbps, and you say he said 2.4MB. wth?

The only way to interpret what he says is that the theoretical max is 2.4Mbps(300KB/s) but the average is 300-700kbps(37.5-87.5KB/s). BTW you will NEVER get 300KB/s on a wireless device (that connects at 2.4mbps) for various reasons.

also. when they were asking about bits and bytes they were referring to the 100K/s - 200K/s which was a different person with (evidently) a stronger signal.

Woah slow down Skippy, I'm talking about kbps, not kBps. I think I would know the difference between bits and bytes.

This is a wireless product, you don't seriously expect it to run at it's full peak speed of 2.4 mbps all the time do you?
