Check fines online?

Hi,

I used to be able to check my wife's fines using the AARTO website:

That site is not working anymore.
Anywhere else I can check her fines?
FNB banking only allows me to check my ID.

You have to now register using the normal AARTO site to access that info. Once you register and login, you will be able to see your infringements.

How long does it take for one to receive notice of a traffic violation?

Who in the world does that? It is like handing yourself over for a fictitious crime. Never give your address to ****. Never register on any guvmint website! Once you are on record you cannot get away.

I wonder if 5% of fines are real offences, the rest are a sham to make money. I once got 'fines' from a camera trap where all 7 of my company vehicles travelled on the same day at the same spot at exactly 71 kmh in a 60 zone. Hell yea, right. I believe camera traps are set up to take pictures of all passing vehicles and it is then put on a standard form alleging speed violation. Then it is sent to the owners. If 20% of the people get caught as fools and pay, it is a lot of free money. The others; well I am yet to actually see any further steps taken. In 40 years driving and hundreds of such 'fines' sent through post, I have never received an actual summons. Why? Conclusion.....I did not fall for the scam, and there is no case against me in any event.

I got an sms that I have TWO outstanding fines. The fines were doing really well in school, so now they are outstanding... . ... ...

Anyways, so I google paymyfines and AARTO and registered with both of them.

Both of them show "0" fines.

Now why is that?

The sms looks legit with the correct website addresses as well as the last digits of my ID.

Is it possible my fines have not officially graduated yet, or should I not worry about their performance.

Just checked mine for giggles.

19 in Hibiscus coast (where I have never travelled). All cancelled though.

Plus 3 for this year *after* I left the country. Guess I'll do the usual and ignore those. Worst case, here is my passport - how could i be driving when i was overseas...
