Read this on hellopeter this morning, found it rather funny:

If and when competition does arrive, MultiChoice will always operate the same way that we currently do. The monopoly will never end as we will always compete with other entertainment channels and mediums.

Kind Regards

Michelle Venter

NEVER (evil laugh x3) :D

Unfortunately, you have to register at www.hellopeter.com to use the service, but yes, the remark is there!

Just goes to show you how much they think of themselves!!!

Here is the whole comment:
"The call centre is impossible to get through on. The wait music is enough to make one sick. I was on hold for more than 20 minutes on 2 occasions on the “dedicated” PVR line. Contract can’t be done over phone one must still fax it in, that’s really old fashioned. It is time for the monopoly to come to an end. I personally will be the first to subscribe to an alternative company. It would be nice to have some choice!!!!!!!!!! The aggressive Cartblanch journalists should do a show on themselves that would make for good viewing.
SUPPLIER'S RESPONSE Hello nothappy
Our Activation Policy and Procedure is as follows:

If you are a brand new customer and an account has to be created, the subscriber agreement form must be faxed through before activation of the service. It is not an "old fashioned" procedure. We need to have proof that your signature is on the subscriber agreement form assuring us that you have agreed to the terms and conditions, which is for legal purposes.

If an accredited installer or non accredited installer contacted the PVR dedicated group (not the Contact Centre) to have the products loaded and activated, we do activate the service but the fax needs to be received within 24 hours during weekdays and 48 hours during the weekend. If no fax is received, the service is disconnected until documentation is received from the installer.

Better wording ...

If and when competition does arrive, MultiChoice will always operate the same way that we currently do. There is no actual monopoly as we already compete with other entertainment channels and mediums.

Don't be so damn arrogant - people are only human you know.

Like I said. She probably thought "monopoly" is a word that describes MultiChoice.

I've been around many blondes that confirms this...

well, if she/he/it doesn't know what monopoly is, maybe she/he/it should not be working at that position, but rather make tee or coffee!

Is Multichoice trying to be the next Telkom?
Or are they graduates from the Telkom business school with a honours degree in how to screw the public.
