I would seriously suggest that all MyWireless customers have a look at their account info on the Sentech intranet. I checked mine last night and my next debit order will be for an amount of R64509.00

At first I was pretty jovial about this but now I am a bit more anxious. This is going to cause havoc if the debit order actually runs for this amount. I have so far called the help desk twice and they are yet to provide a reasonable explanation. I am not holding my breath in bated anticipation.

The best part was when Tristan mentioned if I stop the debit order I may be blacklisted....that got me rather worked up. This is SOOOOO 3rd world!!!!!

Edit: Do you have a papy copy of the invoice if so (1) if not (2):

(1)
Do you have a scanner?

If not find one ASAP. Scan it and send it to me pronto.

Scan it to at least 800x600 resolution and save it compressed as something like a *.png

(2)
If you dont have a paper copy, do a screen cap and send me the file.

Im at work on ADSL, dont think I can access it from here but I have it cached on PC at home, Ill print it pdf and send it. If this is an isolated case then it wont make much difference. However, if it affects a number of us maybe we could do something to declare Sentech incompetent to run an ISP.

Im not sure what the url is to check, but its that same intranet path to register when you first activated the service. You log on to Sentech and you can view all monthly invoices and account history. I was actually quite impressed at first. But now geeeez, I guess all my compliments about the great service and good speeds were too much so they had to screw me in some other way.
Nice going. Now you have another p*ssed off customer Mr Raath.

The Sentech intranet URL is: https://reg.mywireless.sentech.co.za/register/index.jsp . The only thing that I can see is "Next Billing Date", which is today 6/30/04, but I can't a next amount specified anywhere. The invoice for today has not yet been generated.

Didn't Sensucks spend something like R300M on 'back-office systems'? WTF?

Yes .....R300 million on the MANAGED "PABX"

Makes you think doesn't it.....They made sure we could call them on TELKOM lines!!!!!!!

No more comments!!!!

As you guys would know, Sentech double billed me last month, just checked my intranet and it looks like it will happen this month again.

I'm speaking to my lawyers tomorrow, time to send THEM a "failure to provide service now **** off" notice

I suggest everyone that has these anomolies on their statements please take a screenshot (like i did) and then send it to [email protected] and cc [email protected], i'm sure he can whip up a very well written ITWeb article about Sentech's disregard of their customers bank accounts and financial status. I mean this month they'll deduct another 1.5k more than they should (which I did not agree to nor signed for!) and this would put me in hot water no less because I'm paying off some crazy debt.

noone wants to be financially free, but Sentech is making the cornhole thing again

Hmmmmmm interesting, I seem to be unable to log on to the Infranet site with the same account I use to connect to their network.

Also received my bank statement and I am, as Mr Noone, in the position of being billed twice in the month of June - On the 4th to be exact, for an amount no less than R1687.61 - I'm on the MyWireless 256K package - this amount is close to that for the 512K package, idiots!!!! (Unless it's a pro-rata amount from May as well since I only joined in the beginning of May - any light?)

Yup, keep an eye on your debit order my friend, I just noticed, at the stroke of midnight, my 2927.16 outstanding balance to be 1463.58 outstanding, and the next billing run is on the 31st of July. Im just waiting for my bank to reflect this and I'll be a happy camper once more (up until I have to move, which according to sentech, if i move and have no signal I'd still have to pay)
