So-and-so checked in at Virgin Active .... So-and-so checked in at OR Tambo International Airport .... So-and-so checked in at xxx

Do we need to know where people are at all given times?

This is of course just their way of showing off a fancy place or two that they frequented.

I mean, has anyone ever "checked in" at Pep Stores or Ackermans?

Agree, you never see "John checked into Grey's Psychiatric ward", or "Mary checked in at RB's Pawn-broker"
I have "checked-in" once on FB, and it was onto my bog to inform all I was taking a dump.

You need to choose better friends if they're breaking in when you're out.

Checking in isnt an option on the blackberry - sure the functionality is there but it rarely works, if ever!

Maybe it's just yours. A lot of FB friends of mine with BBs check in all the time via their phones ...

The worst is that other people can check you into places with them, which can lead to some very awkward and emotionally fuelled conversations with other people the next day. I despise this cock-blocking feature...
