I see EA have finally decided to cash in on the music sim success in South Africa by deigning to bring their Rock Band franchise here. I think that's a fantastic move. Except that the cheeky buggers are trying to palm off the Bargain Bin stuff here at the full price. Wow. Rock Band 2 has already gone on half-price sale in Europe, but EA quite arrogantly expect us to pay R600 a copy! And they don't even bother bringing in the original Rock Band, as far as I could tell. I guess it probably broke the business model. On the other hand, the Rock Band Beatles premium edition sells for half the price of Guitar Hero World Tour and contains just about the same extras. Maybe they're trying to wrestle market share away from Activision. Maybe they shouldn't have waited this long, eh?
