I am serving my notice month with Sentech during November, although I am out on 'parole' already....
I bought the ADSL router and filter, connected them, hoped for the LEDs to start blinking... and they did 2 weeks after I requested the service!
Due to this unforeseen Telkom efficiency I've been on ADSL since the middle of October, instead of middle November-ish, but hey I am NOT complaining!
The Sentech modem, with its Pringle cantenna is still blinking its orange/green eyes at me, however I can't get myself to connect via it, it is just too slow compared to the bottom on the range 384 DSL offering.
MiWi, I will not miss you, but it was nice having you around while I stayed in an area where no Telkom lines were available, after 'upgrading' from dial-up and GPRS.
NoWire, your non-existing after-hours support and the full mailbox in which I am to leave messages will be not missed either!
I'll most probably start another PC up with the cantenna and other Sentech paraphernalia and do some downloads for 'old times' using my bounced signal
Eagerly serving the last days of my sentence
I decided to make use of Web Africa's prepaid options (local and normal accounts), with traffic routed via ant1b0dy's RouteSentry
ex-MiWi'er
PS: old style Sentech modem (with external antenna), as well as the empty Pringles can for sale as-is as complete unit, just PM me.
