Chutney chicken pieces

Ingredients
4 chicken breasts or thighs
2 tbs tomato sauce
2 tbs Mrs Balls Hot Chutney
2 tbs tangy Mayonnaise
2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
2 tbs oil
1 tsp medium curry powder
1 tsp mustard powder

Method
Mix all ingredients in a mixing jug, blending well. Place chicken pieces in a casserole dish. Pour the sauce over the chicken, covering well. Cover with foil and bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes. Uncover dish, and bake for a further 15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Serve with brown rice.

OK, choices, choices !

I am torn between pornstar's achar chicken, the chutney chicken, or this one -

Unbelievable Green Chicken Curry

Serves 4 | Preparation Time: 5 mins | Cooking Time: 45 mins

Ingredients
30 ml oil
3 garlic cloves, crushed
2 green chillies, seeded and finely chopped
900 g chicken thighs
3 ml ground coriander
200 ml water
100 ml coconut cream
2 tomatoes, diced
5 spring onions, finely sliced
15 ml grated ginger
3 curry leaves
3 ml ground cumin
200 ml milk
1 pouch Knorr Fresh Ideas Chicken & Mushroom Pan
125 ml finely chopped coriander

Instructions
1.Heat oil in a large saucepan and add spring onion, garlic, ginger, chillies and curry leaves and fry together for 1 minute
2.Add chicken, cumin and coriander to the pan and brown the chicken for approximately 10 mins
3.Add milk and water to the pan
4.Stir in Knorr Fresh Ideas pouch contents and bring to the boil while stirring
5.Add coconut cream, coriander and tomatoes
6.Simmer uncovered for 20-30 mins until the chicken is cooked through
7.Serve with pappadums and sambals

Anyway...

Buy chicken fillets, make small cuts in it so the sauce covers a larger surface.

Then take pepperdews, cream, pinch of salt, some black pepper and mix it all in a bowl and baste the chicken in the sauce.

Add some "kapok aartappels" to the pot about halfway through and grill for 10 mins when the chicken is almost done.

You can also add some chilli / peri peri to some chutney and mix it into the sauce.
 
Mix apricot jam and mayo, put chicken in dish, pour sause over put in over and let cook.

Variation

Mix apricot jam and mayo, put chicken in dish sprinkle brown onion soup on the top (quite a generous amount) pour sause over the chicken and cook in oven.

Had the brown onion soup one last night, was actually really nice..

Also its best to leave it to rest for 5 to 10 min after cooking so the sauce thickens up.

quick and simple (couldn't find english recipe)

Hoender in Coke
Lewer 4 – 6 porsies

1 kg hoenderstukke (boudjies, vlerkies, dye)

Marinade
60 ml (¼ k) sojasous
60 ml (¼ k) bruinsuiker
30 ml (2 e) bruinasyn
sout en varsgemaalde swartpeper na smaak
340 ml-blik Coke
roosmaryntakkie of enige ander vars kruie

Metode
1. Meng al die marinade-bestanddele saam. Giet oor hoenderstukke en marineer vir omtrent 1 uur in yskas.
2. Plaas hoender in ’n swaarboomkastrol en kook vir ongeveer 45 minute in die marinade. Draai hoender gereeld om.
3. Skep die meeste van sous af en braai die hoenderstukke in die laaste bietjie marinade tot goudbruin. Sit warm voor met ’n stysel of groente na smaak.
