Can anyone recommend a really good, preferably half human, half pit-bull, child maintenance lawyer in the Pretoria or Johannesburg area?!?
I prefer someone who can recommend a lawyer that they have dealt with, rather than marketing from a website which makes promises without proof of delivery...
Hi, I am new to this so please excuse if im in the wrong place.
I went to the maintenance court on friday and the date was postponed to the 29th may, what i need to know is, all my documents where handed to my ex (happy with that) i got his, on his bank statement it shows he has a pension policy for R2119.00 and life polocies for R2500.00, this is his monthly payment. I have an income of R9000.00 per month, his income is R19899.00 per month (take home) i have two children and have asked for maintenance for both, R2000 per child, with all my till slips attached is an reasonable amount, all he pays at the moment is R1650.00 School fees and R1800.00 medical aid for the children, I am struggling with the R4000.00 i have got monthly this is the money i use for food, petrol, day to day expenses, my rent is R5800.00 pm for a two bedroom flat.
ok so what i need to know is when i go back to court on the 29th what must i take with, and will the court tell my ex that he doesnt need the pension and life cover as it is not benefiting the children now, it only pays out when hes on pesion (not the children) and obviously when he dies.
His salary is R19 899.00 take home, his rent is R4000.00, he shows withdrawls of R4200.00 (cash) no slips, bought items R2645.96 (no slips) debit orders R8973.78 on bank statement, he also pays hes mother R2500.00 a month, (only since i handed him with the maintenance documents).
mine is R9500.00 take home my rent R4100.00 R1700.00 water and lights, the rest (i have all my till slips) go to food for the children and myself, we do not have "spending money" we do not eat take outs nothing of that sort.
Can somebody please help me I am stuck he refuses to pay anything further says he cannot afford it.
