unsure. From what i remember skim reading was 50 odd various parties/organisations came together protesting visit to States and pro unification. Was a few days ago, and twitter vid earlier

So. Why no link provided then?

This thread seems to have turned into the Russia/Ukraine war Part 1 thread.

Talk about rehashing old debunked conspiracies to try and derail this thread…

It's because @NarrowBandFtw was banned from that thread for pushing the same rubbish conspiracies and illogical narrative there as he is doing here...

"to try and derail"? you honestly think so?

you could just say: "this is getting bit off topic", no need to indulge in your own wild conspiracy theory

fair enough, it has gotten off topic, the on topic bit was that anyone supporting Taiwan's non-existent right to self determination while simultaneously denying Donbas theirs is a blatant hypocrite

nobody ever gets banned for the nonsense that you just vomited out

they get banned because snowflakes keep mashing the report button, if that's something you celebrate ... I can only imagine why ...

That is not correct as I believe that most people here would agree that individuals from Taiwan and Dombas have the right to determine their own future.

China is welcome to squash Taiwan as we wont really miss them.

Many people forget.
1. Taiwan was part of Japan during WW2, yip the Taiwanese fought against the Chinese.
2. When the Chinese civil war went South, 2 million Chinese imperial troops invaded Taiwan, mass murdering 200 000 native Taiwanese in the process who tried to defend themselves against this huge invading army.
3. The Taiwanese took most of the cultural valuables to Taiwan, locked in vaults in the mountain for many years, many crates has not even been opened yet.
4. They took China's entire Gold reserve with them.

So to Xi. You are welcome to invade. I will happily rubber stamp your invasion.

All that America is worried about is that Taiwan is a buffer to the Pacific. If Taiwan falls, the Chinese fleet can easily move into the Pacific. And that's a huge no no for them.

"most" if you did a proper count, maybe

there are at least two here that disagree and have made it clear that they disagree

I somehow think you may have your history a bit skewed...

Okay, fair enough. However, I still believe that you should have tried to understand my perspective before accusing me of being a hypocrite.
in my view we share the blame for that to an extent, one is known by the company one keeps after all

You neglect to mention TSMC and their fabs based in Taiwan.

Taiwan makes like 90% of the worlds CPU's.

I'm not saying there aren't any linking arguments but the crap about time travelling snipers, genocide in Donbas and the rest of the 2014 propaganda used by Russia is getting tedious.
