Mr Zhai wore a Chinese-made spacesuit thought to have cost between £5m and £20m ($10m-$40m) for the space walk.

The suit cost them millions, took 15 hours to put on, and had never been tested.

Why didn't they just buy an American one or Russian one. They got their space ship from Russia didn't they. The British never designed their own suit, so whats with the Chinks. They've even invented a new English word for astronaut (taikonaut), even with two existing ones to choose from already.

Is national pride worth it in the long run? When you get to the finish line, will people say that you maxed the National pride score, even if everyone else has finished and left the stadia ?
