I'm needing some advice, Need to purchase a car soon - It just needs the basics as far as I'm concerned and serving needs to be cheapish.

My two choices so far are a Ford KA and Ford fiesta RSI.

The Ford KA as about 56000 km and is about R1000 cheaper than the RSI. Both have a full service history and the RSI sits at 140000km.

Actually went off driving cars due to the fact that I have had endless problems with the last three I have had but I need one as my job requires it now and again, otherwise I would carry on using the Gautrain.. I just need something reliable at the moment for the next two years. On averidge I do about 12000 to 20000 km a year. Which would you go for and any known issues you would be weary of.

Kia picanto, brand new (old shape) R79k.

Surprising little car.

If not, then go for the car with the least mileage.

Fiesta is probably nicer, but that's fairly high mileage. Not earth shattering, but when comparing to a car with almost 100 000 less its hard to justify going for the higher mileage nicer car.

I'm sorry, but it is totally beyond me why someone would even consider a KA

My ears are still ringing from the clang of closing that tinny door of the KA that I sat in 4 years ago!

If you have narrowed it down to those two then take the Fiesta, but why go that route? Surely there are far better cars available at whatever price you are looking at....

Before you buy a KA, rather look at a older model merc or something decent!
That Ford is missing one "K" ... :p

If you had to choose between the 2 I would say choose the KA, but this is purely mileage related. If the mileage was lower on the Fiesta I would go for that...
