I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice. I've been suffering from chronic cholinergic urticaria for about 6 months now. Basically I get lots of tiny little red spots, generally around my feet and wrists (although spreads across my body if I don't stop the activity causing them), that are very painful and are triggered by temperature changes, such as exercising, hot shower, being in the sun, or basically anything that elevates my temperature. It came out of the blue and has become quite debilitating, especially not being able to do any exercise. Has anyone suffered from something similar, and what worked for them? I've tried about six different anti-histamines, as well as combining them with beta-blockers, H2 antagonists and montelukast, but nothing has really made any real difference (not enough that I can exercise again without having a really bad reaction). I'm seeing another specialist for allergies in Septebember, but thought I'd try the forums in case anyone could offer up some other treatments in the meantime.
Thanks!
