Hi All,

so my bank is hounding me with "quotes" on investment portfolios (FNB) and i am not really inclined to choose them.

I would like to put a bit of money away where the risk isn't high (i would like to say guaranteed capital), low fee's and stable growth, access to the money with notice would be handy as well.

I have been looking at some of the allan gray unit trusts, but to be honest i really need guidance here.

meh maybe i should just contact a broker.

How long do you consider short/medium term?

Bond index funds and money market funds might be your best bet considering that you're trying to preserve capital though. Just remember that nothing in life is guaranteed (besides the usual death and taxes).
