Bit surprised he didn't do one or two more IPLs. Maybe not a million dollar player last season, but he has frequently been a good contributor and been very entertaining when his batting came off.
 
Not really retiring from all forms of cricket if he's going to be coaching cricket, is it?

His Instagram says all forms of cricket. Good if he is staying involved in the game.

Had a bad second half of ipl last season so probably didn't feel he would get a deal worth his time.

Not sure if you’re just being pedantic or really think that coaching cricket is a form of cricket?
 
Can't fault the man's commitment. He has enough money to go anywhere, and he's going to Pretoria.

Any sensible person not being deliberately pedantic will realize from the context of the post that the forms of cricket he’s referring to are T20, ODI, Test etc.

Next up we’ll hear that being the kitman and groundskeeper is a “form of cricket”.

Worst case scenario, at base price he'd still get over a bar in rands for a few weeks of cricket...
 
He was a decently talented player who wasn't used to his full potential by CSA - always some politics or the other when Biff is around.

If we could cut the crap, and really get management who truly cared about cricket, there would be far fewer players leaving / going outside. And we would have a team second to none.
