Problem: Could not connect to game server

Your computer needs to connect to our game server through port #25536. Personal firewalls, such as the ones used in a personal DSL line, are usually not a problem. They allow outbound connections on all ports, which is not a security problem, especially with Java applets. However, corporate firewalls are usually more restrictive, and block all outgoing connections as well. Only your network administrator will be able to allow outgoing connections on port 25536.

More port shaping for Christmas.........................?

Caroper, I highly doubt that would be the case.

You see, -=SGS=- (the game servers owned by SAIX) which are in turn owned by Telkom. Thus it would make no sense for them to have port-shaping on their servers.

Of course if you're talking about intl. servers then it's a different story.

KInda OT, but wow, look at the pings to international:

It is an international server, http://daysofwonder.com very low bandwidth, it uses java applets to play board and card games.
Blocking that one should save Telkom 1Meg per day and puts me out $20 subscription.
This continual downgrading of the service has to stop................
