Christmas promotion for gaming notebooks

Hey All, new here.
So I'll go straight with the question. Christmas is coming, and I'm thinking of getting new gaming laptops for my boys, they have been moaning about old ones I gave them a few years ago. I'm super tired of them nagging me so am thinking about getting them new ones as a surprises; they are totally going to go crazy when they see them.
My mate told me that I should come here for advice on what make & model I should get them?
Any suggestions would be welcome.
 
How old are they and what's will the use the laptops for ?
They are in for a cool Xmas!
 
They are both high school teenagers; mostly they do homework and play multiplayer games like Dota2 and Cs:Go.
 
Okay Santa Claus, I would recommend you buy entry to mid level gaming laptops, good for on-line games and they also have some cool designs, your kids will like that.

You can buy a gaming desktop that'll blow any gaming notebook out the water AND a simple laptop to take to school for that price... Letting your kids wander around with a 17k laptop is ****ing madness.

I don't disagree.
Not only that but allowing them to take a gaming laptop to school is asking for trouble.
 
Hey Amarynthus I recently got a MSI Laptop and love it, after lots of research I went with MSI over the competition, they were the only company that actually manufacture their own notebooks instead of just outsourcing the construction and then branding it, they have more features & I also see Evetech is running a R1000.00 discount promo:

Why not this over the MSI?

Yes, half the ram, but that you can upgrade yourself. I'd rather have a newer gen i7 and a 965M over more RAM.

No reason, the Asus was just the first one I saw, good find.

Will consider MSI and ASUS.

MSI's R1000 discount promo looks good.
 
GIGABYTE P55K for sure , I just love GTX 965 more.

Moreover , they also make their own laptops in Taiwan. So MSI is not the only one.
