Hi

I am having difficulties with the Standard Bank website when using Google Chrome. Chrome will navigate to the homepage of Standard Bank, but once there it will not navigate to other parts/pages on the website. For example, I can't go to the internet banking page.

The Standard Bank website is the only webpage I have ever encountered that does this. I now have to use IE when I do my banking, and it sucks. Standard Bank has up to now not been able to help.

Has anyone else had this problem or come across a possible solution?

Thanks

I would say make sure that your Java x86 and x64 is all up to date, reset the browser settings, etc. Chrome is my default browser and I use my Standard Bank Internet Banking on it without any problems.

Same here - running Chrome with no issues on the SB site and internet banking.

CarlF - what version of Chrome are you on; the latest is 30.0.1599.101 m

I am using Chrome Version 30.0.1599.101 m

When using Chrome at my home, everything is working fine. Could it be possible that the firewall at work, or some other domain setting can cause this?

You dont need java .... most sites run on javascript which is different

Yeah, it could be your work settings. Ask IT to whitelist the site and see if it helps. I had to do the same at work and its fine now.

As far as I remember internet banking usually opens in a new window. It could be that Chrome is blocking the new window opening?

I use SB Internet Banking on a Win8.1 Asus laptop, and Chrome browser Version 30.0.1599.101 m

No issues at all, and I use the Win 8.1 Standard Bank app to make payments to existing beneficiaries.

But if I want to add a new beneficiary I have to use SB in desktop mode using Chrome at URL https://www.encrypt.standardbank.co.za/

Me too.....

I am going mad. I can do anything in Chrome but lately, the minute I go to the Standard Bank site, my computer tells me Chrome has stopped working.

It seems to me the answer is to go to another site first and then go back to Standard Bank. Can't say this definitively but am going to try. Rather frustrating though.
