Any one have a chromecast set up with netflix? How do i do it?

Wheni opennetflix on the browser it buffers to 98% and just stops there...
I can cast youtube fine

Mae sure you use the 4 static routing settings and use the IP address you use to logon to the router settings for each route
i.e. http://10.x.x.x
10.x.x.x is the IP you must use.

How to bypass Google DNS for Chromecast and access Netflix + Hulu in South Africa

Here is what worked for me:

prerequisites:
Active Netflix Account
Active Unotelly Account
DD-WRT Router / Compatible router, check if your router can be upgraded to DD-WRT firmware here http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database

How To:
Once you have followed this how to for Unotelly DNS Firewall setup that bypasses Google DNS servers -> http://help.unotelly.com/support/solutions/articles/136538--dd-wrt

then

Setup Cron Job to continually update Unotelly IP -> http://help.unotelly.com/support/solutions/articles/18635-dd-wrt-using-cronjob-to-update-your-ip

Then an optional setup that I have used is to obtain NetFlix apk from the US PlayStore (for Android) (you can google for this or search at http://forums.xda-developers.com , install on phone, sign into Hulu/Netflix app and then cast to the Chromecast from the phone. Its a beautiful world in there ;)

Here is the Hulu Plus apk for Android users http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1822341

I think the chromecast is awesome, but there is one f@cking frustrating problem I usually have after load shedding, internet down for some reason etc. It will then for some reason or the other not connect to my router(internet). That will sometimes want me to ****ing torch the thing with a flamethrower.

But, then all of a sudden it will work the next day, wtf:confused::mad:

Yes! Was discussing this with a colleague this morning. Exact same issue, normally after turning the chromecast on after a load shedding incident. Have to reboot it a few times and then it suddenly just works again.

I had to add the Chromecast mac address to my router before it worked again, strange ..........

Just bought a Chromecast.

So I'm trying to access different Google play stores using UnoVPN on my GalaxyS5. I made a US google account (or so I thought), and managed to use their VPN which checked out using whatsmyip.org, IP was a Los Angeles address. But then loading up the play store, the apps had "AED" as the currency?! United Arab Emirates Dirham?! Anyone got this to work? I have no clue what I've done.

I even tried creating a new google account once on the US VPN, and the play store will gave me UAE currency and their ****ty apps.

EDIT: Eventually got it all working on my Galaxy Note tablet using the UnoVPN to first create hook onto the UK vpn, then create a UK google account on the Note (accounts -> google -> create new), clear cache and data from the Play store app, which then allows you to see the UK Play Store and download the apps you want, in my case, BBC iPlayer. I did the same for US VPN, to download Netflix and Hulu. You then only need to block the google DNS settings hardcoded on the chromecast on your router and then use the regular unotelly DNS settings from there on out. Works like a bomb!

Why didn't you just use Aptoide for region restricted apps?

Never even heard of it...

How legit and up to date are those app versions? Do they integrate seamlessly and update themselves as well?
