I’m in a hotel room and am trying to connect Netflix on my iPad to the tv. It appears from the iPad side all is good, connected to the right room number using the QR code and when I play something on Netflix it connects to the room to and the Chromecast icon turns red and it shows on the iPad that it’s steaming and all is good.
Google home on the iPad also shows I am connected to the correct tv and it’s says the show I’m playing on Netflix is streaming to the correct tv.
Problem is, there is a Google screensaver showing on the tv like the Chromecast is sleeping and I don’t know how to ‘wake’ it up? When I press ‘start casting’ on the tv, it goes straight to a screensaver with a bar at the bottom saying ‘paused’ then after a few seconds it changes to ‘playing’ but the screensaver remains.
I even squeezed my hands behind the tv and unplugged the power from the Chromecast to reset it, but same issue.
Anyone come across this. Tried googling but no luck.
