Thanks everyone. I bought the neti pot a few months ago and it wasn't much help. Have no pets and went for an allergy test etc. So far I've tried almost all the meds out there, but Sudafed was the only one that seemed to give me a bit of relief.
I have a consult with a different ENT this coming Friday so I'll see how that goes.

Sorry to high jack this thread.
I have a similar issue. For as long as I can remember I cannot smell, unless the oder is very strong! :wtf:
Also I have a constantly congested nose.
Ive tried salt water but it did nothing. I don't have medial aid to go see an ENT. So i think i should try some of these meds that have been mentioned.

Hi fellow sufferers, if i may provide a possible solution that worked for me during a emergency!! if you have a hellishly bad headache its probably an infection.
My emergency solution was to use povidone iodine cream (Podine 1%) dissolved about 1 part to 5 water and put into a empty steroid nasal spray bottle, 3 squirts 3 times a day. in my case it was a frontal sinus so i had my head upside down, the pain if your sinus is infected is mind wrenching but worth it, however if its not infected you barely feel it.
Povidone iodine kills everything bacteria,virus,protozoa, demons etc nothing can develop a resistance to it, unlike antibiotics it is however not too destructive to mammalian cells. an added advantage is that its a mucolytic (makes you produce thin mucus that washes out your sinus) .
Is it safe.... I dont know, if you were to use it long term it could mess with your thyroid i used it for 3 days and did not die.
Taking about 4 grams of vitamin C a day helps in the long run.
PLEASE NOTE!!!!!!!!!!! POVIDONE IODINE IS NOT THE SAME AS TINCTURE OF IODINE, which will probably kill you.
