Any Certified Internal Auditors here?

I want to do a BCom in Internal Auditing from UNISA this/next year and hopefully write board exams to be a CIA.
How are the exams?
Do I do also need to do these articles to be an IA?

I didn't do any accounting or economics at school, but I think I'll cope.

My wife is a CIA. She did B.Acc (Hons). The CIA board was easy compared to her degree. And a lot easier than CA board. She did 3 years audit articles, which I think covered the "experience" requirement. 24 Months if I remember correctly?

How is the pay?

Good, but it depends entirely on the position/company. She works as an IA at a listed company, but not listeds view IA in the same light - importance wise. But it is changing quickly.
