But I expect large supermarket chains to do their due diligence with their suppliers.or the backhands and smuggling is so advanced already, that people cant tell the difference.
sure, agreed, but then again, maybe their smuggling game is so up to date and so well organized, its difficult to tell the difference. But I expect large supermarket chains to do their due diligence with their suppliers.
Dunhill is R42 at PnP. Assume all Dunhill brands are the same price apart from the switch variants.I'm a non-smoker, however my smokes and is asking how much should we be paying for Dunhill Fine Cut.
The Sasol Garage near us is R64 and Makro is about R56 but she wasn't sure on the Makro price?
Where could we do better?
The Pick n Pay near us was/is R54.Dunhill is R42 at PnP. Assume all Dunhill brands are the same price apart from the switch variants.
I don’t know how they justify that price. It’s so little tobacco.
If the cigarettes were cheaper I’d also use it more.
What smokes costs 75 a carton and is a carton for 10 boxes?Cigarettes I smoked before lockdown are now R200 a carton (R110 more).
Cigarettes I now smoke are back to pre lockdown pricing (R75 a carton).
Not sure what’s up then, maybe it will be cheaper from the 1st Oct or I’m just luckyOK, so we sent someone out now to buy a carton of Dunhill Fine Cut, instead of going to Pick n Pay they went to Makro. Carton was R562.95
ShaSha and yes, 200 Cigarettes. What smokes costs 75 a carton and is a carton for 10 boxes?
Wtf that's amazing value, obviously the manufacturer has not paid their tobacco tax on those boxes, "export only"?ShaSha and yes, 200 Cigarettes.
no I don't@46Female also buys the cheap entjies
naa,Wtf that's amazing value, obviously the manufacturer has not paid their tobacco tax on those boxes, "export only"?
Aren't they pretty rough going though?
These cheap brands are very rough going! I either invest in cigarette filters or start smoking a pipe or smoke less of real cigarettes. I swear these cheap brands have no processing done on the tobacco to remove tar and nicotine. I think even the 1.2 mg tar and 1.2 mg nicotine stated on the box of these real coffin nails is a lie.Wtf that's amazing value, obviously the manufacturer has not paid their tobacco tax on those boxes, "export only"?

The loose tobacco you can buy to roll your own is pretty decent and brings down the cost significantly. These cheap brands are very rough going! Actually, not. But lets leave it at that.sure, agreed, but then again, maybe their smuggling game is so up to date and so well organized, its difficult to tell the difference.
I mean Tobacco is easy to grow and easy to make into Ciggies, and its easy money,
and the profits of avoiding taxes are immense, so lots of motivation to get the packaging and distribution right.
aren't their Ciggie machines on the open market,Actually, not. But lets leave it at that.
