Good day

I want to get an external Hard drive, and there is this Cipher Wave hard drive that looks pretty good. But the thing is, I dont' know where the hard drive comes from and what it's like...

So I just want to ask if anyone has any idea about this brand..

Like where it comes from and what hard drive does it use, if it has any problems.

Thanks

I want to.. But it's expensive..

Cipher wave is cheaper.. and it also has the 3 year warrentee..

I know segate is all good and great.. but cost.. (I'm planning to get like 3 hard drives)

For about 2 years now. The CiperWare is my main backup (so it's filled up) and the Toshiba my seconday backup.

No issues with CipherWave from the CSSI guys - a good alternative to WD and Seagate. On the plus side, if the CW drive ever fails, CSSI can recover it, possibly at a lower rate, as they are the importer/distributor...

+1 on that all.

Last thing..

I just want to know if things foim Hi-Fi is trust worthy?

Because I think I will be getting my HD from there..

So I just want to know if anyone has had any problems from them before?

So Cipher wave isn't like a weirdo company

Not during any of my dealings with them - chat to James there and see what he can offer. They are also on BoB regularly advertising, but you have to wait for the right specials. :)

Personally, I would never touch Hi-Fi Corp with a 20-foot barge pole, let alone PC components, but that's just me having bad experiences with them.

I see..

But that's just the CW hard drives..

But do you know what actual HD do they use?

But won't the CW company repair the HD if it's broken? So will it ok?

because I don't know whether I should get a HD from HI Fi.. because I'm worried, ok.. I can trust CW so people above say..

But I don't trust HI FI...

Sigh..

Anyone has any idea what the warrentee is for Hi FI?

I don't think there is anybody who hasn't had problems with Hi Fi. Do you want to be a statistic?

Well I'm just asking..

Because I want to get something from them.. Because it was their big grand sale..

So was just asking..

But if all works.. then there shouldn't be any problems.. right?

Oh.. there is another thing.. in the picture for the Cipher wave HD.. I saw there was something (a button..) and on it it says OTB..

does anyone know what it does?

Is that only on that HD or is it on everyones?
