You should be able to connect with any connection to the internet (unless the port is used or blocked). It is even possible on 3G, which is not recommended.
 
Guys, the only way this is going to work, is by word of mouth so please, tell everyone you know about it, Tha circle needs to grow, massive, Then you;ll see speed on the hub, al ready all the latest releases are available, and are shared as soon as someone has them, So new data is added continuously, Give it a go, like i mentioned there's also a chat box, so people can chat and get to know one another, before downloading data,,, See you on the hub

hey hj2k_x, it is becoming better and better all the time, the more people that join the faster things will become and it will lead to it becoming the biggest sharing community in SA. Give it a try for a few days.

The point of the hub is to share so if you are only interested in downloading then yes astraweb is the answer for you. However, I have uploads going between 50 and 75 with me being the only source.
 
Not a huge fan of the whole internet/shoutbox thing because people are just generally... how should i put this.... pretty awful. Guess the whole being anonymous thing gives them carte blanche to be idiots. As one of two (or could be three) females on the hub, I have to say, my opinion is starting to change. The people are great (always one or two exceptions) and the staff are awesome.
Yes I said staff and not mods or admins. YAY. The user is actually important for a change. The owners have done it right.... they realise that without users they have.... well, nothing.
I learnt about the bro code (and sad to say i actually agree with some of it), I have found music that I cant even get online or on order from Look & Listen/Musica or your choice of store.
I have met people who I share beliefs with, people who I debate my beliefs with. All in all.... a place where everyone is accepted - awesome. Oh and the shared content... even more awesome.
 
None of the files are actually hosted on the server/hub. The links are provided solely by the server's/hub's users. Those files are meant for the distribution of backup files. By downloading those files you are claiming that you own the original file. hub seems to be down again

and back up again, ISP's seem to have started blocking ports during "business hours"

Due to the seacom cables once again,, we had a small hiccup with certain users not being able to connect, everything is plain sailing again.

Guys Please join up, the staff will get you setup quickly so you can start perusing the hub, There is also a mainchat, and everyone has a good laugh,
Please Share as much as you can, ratio's arent monitored so all i ask is to share a lot, also logically share what you obtain, and also do not disconnect from the hub.

Even though mweb issues have caused, some havoc, with international bandwidth, and downloads.
They haven't affected the speeds or the functionality of the hub,
