Does anyone here know how to setup a Cisco ATA187 Device ?

It used to work but after a power failure the Landlord's Generator did not come on so UPSes did not last long enough to keep everything on.

I have 2 of the ATA 187 devices , each devices has 2 Lines with 3 faxes connected to the 2 devices.
So 1 line is unused..

Both device can be accessed via its webfront end.

1 of the 2 device's line 1 works line 2 does not work and on the second device Line 1 also does not work.

If i go to the 1st device i Line 1 has status, "Registered" and Line 2 "Registering"
Ive rebooted them powerd them of left them off switched on again, tried different ports on the switch.

I have another 3 spare devices which i can use but the Callmanager has to know about them and has to be accepted via its Mac address.

I like cisco their stuff seems to work well, but I hate the way they make things unnecessary complicated!!!.
None of the terms they use make sense.

Hi There,
CISCO is good kit and some of that goodness comes from it requiring a bit of input on your side to configure it.
I looked at the doc from Ponder and you should be able to get there.

Regards

Tim

I eventually got it configured, the device is now in the call manager and it has an ip, its also registerd with the CM.

But now its got a "Beep ... Beep" tone when on hook instead of the normal "Line" tone when on hook.
