CISP Frustration

Can you forward me the mail you sent on the 22nd of July with the response that it's not possible to paul at cisp.co.za
Just following up on this?

Yes, Openserve
Unfortunately once this has been set on the portal it's a manual process to change which more than likely wont happen by the end of the month. So either your new ISP claims the line on the Sunday or you will need to wait until Monday.

An Update:

I have sent an email to @PBCool and no response.

I have followed up with an email to the team as my contract expires this week and they still have not collected the Router or got in touch with me.

I am following up with the team, you won't be billed for the router if we don't collect it.

I am also moving from CISP to Afrihost I hope I don't have the same issues....... @PBCool please ensure my line is in the holding pool by the end of this month

If connect have confirmed it will be, then it's set to do so.

I am moving as well. Apparently it take 2-5 days for an Openserve line to be connected to the new ISP.

It's a migration process, line to holding pool then new ISP claims etc.

This isn't like switching ADSL ISPs, I hope people understand what they're getting into, most times the hassle is hardly worth saving a few bucks. For gamers you just know afrihost is going to let you down anyway. Then again Afri and CISP charges the same for my package anyways so I wouldn't even consider it.

For me, a saving of R202.00 per month (and the two free months) is not to be ignored.

Agreed.

I'm also tempted to move as I'm an Openserve user. However, seeing how much hassle some people have had to put up with, its just not worth it for me. Yes, I can save myself money, but will go mental if I'm without internet for anyrhing more than 3 days.

Here's hoping CISP adjust their pricing too in the future (especially on Openserve). But as I have no complaints with regards to service, I'll shall not cancel with them just yet

Luckily I can plug my Cellphone into my router and use 4G.. Expensive, but it works.

Oof. I'm also moving to a place that has openserve and just hoping there isnt too much downtime to get it connected.

I am also considering the move because of the pricing.
I will gladly take the hassle of moving again if it means I save myself lots of money over the long run.
