I'm a CISP customer and will be relocating from Jhb to Cpt. I noticed on the CISP website that there's a menu option called "relocate an existing service".
Has anyone used it or could you explain how it works?
Is it better to cancel in Jhb and signup again in Cpt?

AFAIK, the 'relocate an existing service' function just goes through process of cancelling and reapplying for you.
@PBCool can give you some proper insight

When I asked recently, they told me that you have to cancel your current service and reapply for the new address.

Pretty much, there is no way to actually move a service FNO wise.

And from my experience they won't help very much with either!
Definitely easier to cancel and go with someone else, otherwise there's a 50/50 chance they would cancel the wrong one!

Hi, sorry to hear is there something I can assist with?

@PBCool I cancelled today, in preparation for my move, thinking that cancelling on the 1st meant the month's notice, but now it's only going to be cancelled end of NEXT month. I move in next week, and I'm going to sign up again. Is there any way to avoid double charges for next month?

Pop me your ref and I'll see what I can do.

Hi CI guys, I'm also relocating and have already cancelled my existing line for service to end 31st August 2022. Now I'm busy doing a new application, completed the address etc for Vumatel.

Do I tick install new Vumatel Fibre or "Moving from another location"

The owner has never had fibre installed but one box is on the pavement and one box is on the wall of the unit.

Hi, You select install new line.

@PBCool hope you are able to guide me - I am moving a few km's down the road to a new suburb. Currently on Vumatel trenched/CISP and moving to new suburb that only has OpenServ as FNO. The new property already has fibre and CPE equipment.

Do I log this as a relocate? The move is happening on 1 Dec so I need to log this request before end COB on Monday, I guess. And just to complicate things I have 2 active accounts, the other one is OpenServ/CISP for another property in the same suburb I am moving to, so I don't want any confusion LOL :)

My assumption will be new application for new house , and canceling old house.

Yes there is a move function on Coolzone, but it's basically the process of cancelling and signing up for new location.
