Hi, not to try and sound negative towards this. Broadband services are typically best effort in every sense of the term.... i tried in the nicest way to explain to support person that my test run on a dedicated machine directly plugged into my edge router which goes into the ONT.
previously... my package was 500/500... where i got 500 down and 250 up... average, with peeks now and then up to 500... implying my setup can do both up and down at that speed, after eventually giving up, and just saying f it... left it, and guess what, 2 months later my up was avg 450... now we have to ask... where was the problem all the time.
with you guys now.. i get 500 up, but my down hardly goes over 850, peek to 900 now and then.
i've done tests agains the test server t make sure the port can do a full 1000 and it's able to.
i'm just pass trying to explain myself to level 1 engineers, and the whoops that my case MFN is my FNO demand.
their attitude to the customer actually suck.. it the customer to that have to bend backwards through 1000 whoops before they willing to have a look... or they demand the customer pay for them to come check their service. would love to see them last in a market like the USA...

I have done all the tests that Mr Alex from CI requests. The Vumatel test does not show anything apart from this (below)
I'm assuming that the problem cannot be resolved. I'm currently paying R1269 for a 200mbps service so can the monthly fee be reduced? I presume that a 100 mbps service is less than a 200 mbps. Its not at all about the money but I don't like to pay for something I am not getting
PS: I used a Cat 7 cable connected directly to a Dell XPS laptop via a LAN to USB-C adaptor on a docking station
