i posted the link to the scans of this article in another thread but since everybody seemed to have stopped reading that thread, here it is again ;) basically the ICASA vs. Telkom debacle has finally reached the newspapers - seems as though the citizen is on ICASA's side :) hopefully the general public will become outraged and start protesting. now if only The Star, Argus, and every other newspaper would follow suit, then the fun would begin

Good article. People must just realise that the SNO is not enough. Government needs to open the market more and sooner rather than later...

It is amusing to note that they used images of houses and hotels from the game Monopoly to accompany an article written about a monopoly!

:D

Good article,
Should effectively inform most people of the level of SUCK that Telkom attained :D

I just wish they hadn't cut the damn chart that the article references. Or at least cut the reference to it. Might use it later for a seperate article on DSL comparisons.

Hi everyone!

Just saw an article "Get Connected" in "SA Computer Magazine" August copy (a bit late, I know), regarding the various internet connectivity options in RSA. Nice to see they mention MyADSL. They compare pros and cons of telkom, Sentech, iBurst. The article also highlights things like cost, availablity, etc, which is nice for all novices... Awareness of whats going on in RSA is on the up and up! :)

Cheers!

Heh, wait till you see what I wrote for the September issue. :)

Cool :) Let rip - give em stick!
An SNO with Telkom as a stake/share-holder (no matter HOW small the stake)... is NOT a SNO! Telkom must never be allowed to buy the shares they are now seeking - under the guise of "insufficient" funds :-( what bu!!$#!t
p.s Gldm: say "hi" 2 LM frm me if u work at the "office". (frm an old mate frm when she used to live in CT)

Thanks for the link and the scans - I will enjoying reading this tonight!
