The big one is here. All the warm competitions( Prem, FA Cup) are over and the build up is complete. The cream has risen to the top to fight it out in the season finale :p :D

Seriously though I can't wait. I think Rafa needs to employ a 4-5-1 formation to deal with Milan's 5 strong midfield, which is very narrow. Two wingers to get in behind Milan’s wing backs and stretch their aging CBs. If we do that we have a very good chance of winning

Reina
Arbeloa
Carra
Agger
Finnan
Alonso
Macherano
Gerrard
Riise
Kuyt
Crouch

Dudek
Hyypia
Sissoko
Zenden
Bellamy
Kewel
Pennent

Could be more positive and start Riise at LB, Kuyt at LW and Pennant at RW.

Forza Forza :)

I say 3-0 to Milan this time. They are so keen to avenge their 2005 mess-up, it's crazy.

negative i think riise should play midfield every game

those rocket shots are needed and go in often, doesnt get much chance to shoot playing back

liverfool FTW in this game

that is a power line up

got a feeling ac milan are big big trouble tnite, this wont be a 3-0 half game thats for sure :)

2-1 liverpool

Firstly I liked to say the tactics were generally spot on IMO. Unfortunately Rafa made a selection blunder comparable to Istanbul by picking Zenden while Kuyt ahead of Crouch equaled the blunder he made against Chelsea when he picked Bellamy ahead of Crouch.

Needed to play two strikers. Bellamy and Crouch. Kewell for Zenden, where was Sissoko?

I think the formation and tactics were spot on. Just the selections were way off. Zenden was so out of his depth it was scary  and even Pennent wasn't up to the task. He did try and managed a few decent moves but considering the space both had they should have down a lot better. Although they had the wrong froward to feed wasn't their fault.

Considering that it shows the tactics were right because we still controlled the game and had many shots at goal. If Rafa had got his selection right we would have won. Hell we could have won anyway because they scored a freak goal and the plays missed good opportunities for goals. Unfortunately Rafa repeated his Istanbul blunder when he took Mascherano off and left ***a open space to work in which resulted in the second goal.
