I am looking onto changing my insurer.
When answering questions whne applying for insurance , they always ask whether you have had a claim before.
The only claim I had was third party when my wife scratched a bakkie while driving. Should I answer yes to this as I did not claim for my car

It should be yes for any claim against your insurance. So if your insurer paid for your wife scratching someone then it's a yes.

If your insurer didn't pay you out for it then there was no claim.

Ask your current insurer for a five year claim history, send that. That's what I do.
