The story:I was playing on SGS servers last night.
The game had just begun, im piloting an attack helo with my gunner taking out enemy forces heading to the flag in front of us while our team mates are capturing the flag.
I spot an attack helo coming in on us and am climbing straight up to give my gunner a TV shot. Enemy helo is far away still.
Next thing we both die - TK via some antitank guy directly below us.
No apologies, just silence from him. So im 'irritated' and punish him out of frustration (thinking: learn to shoot/check the color of the helo your shooting)
I respawn, get back in the helo with my gunner and the TKiller joins my squad and starts having a go at me.
I explain that I TK by accident to, but to pick off a helo with an antitank hovering above you is a little too on purpose. Anyway he whines, i leave the squad and start a new one.
Next thing i see he has started a kick vote, and is typing essays to all that i must get kicked because i punish. I say essays, this guy got his clan to each initiate a vote the whole map.
Luckily the rest of the guys on the server weren't (expressive Pen1s word) and i remained.
I have no objection to the whole 'Clan' idea. Im not a member of a clan but i play online with friends in my team and on my opposition.
The problem that i have is people taking the "GAME" (read: for fun and entertainment) so seriously that they try get people kicked from the server.
I TK sometimes, i get punished sometimes. I punish if i think it could have been avoided, and i expect the same ... I dont have a go at the person?
do you? am i out of line?
is it worse to be a team killer or a punisher?
am i taking this too seriously?
I think maybe 'I' am (just had to vent)
Guys/Girls - its a game.
If in my view it was on purpose and you dont say sorry - i punish.
If i kill/shoot you - use your own judgement.
Just dont be childish - use discression.
Oh, and one last thing - since when do clans occupy ranked servers to 'practice' by voting and kicking other players (PH clan take note)
Guys - go practice on an unranked server, or offline - practice away.
note: PH clan are not the people involved in TK punish incident
