Can the R75 allocated on the MY CHOICE TOPUP PACKAGES be used for DATA , or must a DATA PACKAGE be added , according to some members a package must be added , according to the dealers and brochures the R75 can be used for both AIRTIME AND DATA

On the MYCHOICE Topup you can use the R75 for data but it can't be converted into a Data Bundle, you have to take a Data Bundle for additional data usage

Hope this clarity’s things

Thanks , one more question , does the Airtime have an expiry , or can it be carried over basically for the 24 month period

There is no expiry - i've carried over for almost three years and there has never been a problem.

Is there a limit to the data bundle that can be loaded? I have a 100MB data bundle and am looking to load a 350 MB would that be possible?

rehd

Yep you can load a 350mb or 1 GB for that matter, but you must allocate it through your service provider (read : difficult to change data bundles as you need them)

D

ta, thanks for the info, thats what i thought, my Sp is giving me flak now and says only can load 100MB. Thanks for the help

You can only allocate one bundle at a time for a period of a month

Thanks MTNDD

I was told by the people at 808 that the R75 airtime expires after 2 months if you don't use it... is that true MTNDD or was I misinformed again?

Good to know that. I dont make many calls and was forced to make call as not to lose money due to it expiring.

I bought a R1.99 MTN per sec billing starter pack at Pick'n Pay Hypermarket,I bought R30.00 airtime and after I loaded it,I did a check *141# and it gave me an expiry date of my airtime,WTF , I bought the airtime they got their money and now they tell me when I must use it up,one month window. They can go #@#.I'm moving to VIRGIN MOBILE,with data @0.50 per meg,now you talking and they don't steal your airtime. While I was typing this I get a sms from MTN advertising, your get 30% extra on value for your first MTN airtime recharge Prepaid only.23 july to 22 Aug 2006.Makes you think !!!!!!!

I asked 808 the same question about my free minutes and sms's on my MyCall 100 contract and got the same answer:

Free minutes and sms's older than 2 months will be forfited at the end of the two month period. eg. any free minutes allocated for the period of 13 July to 13 August will be forfitted if not used by 13 September.

So I asked if this is the same for Top Up 75 and was told yes.

So I am back at being discon***ulated....

I think it may be true. We need to check on the expiration rules.
