Yes, I know, it is a riveting topic, espcially for IT people :D

Somehow, it seems that the product I use (Mr Muscle Oven Cleaner) does not work well on removing the marks/build-up of food on the (glass) oven door.

I heard of making a paste using baking soda and vinegar, taking a sponge, dipping it into the paste and smearing it on the oven door, then leaving it on for about 10-15 minutes and wipe down.

Anyone tried this or has any other home remedy?

I use Princess. Don't know how she does it but she does it well. I will ask her on Wednesday when she is in again...

Zeb oven cleaner works a charm, then again so does handy andy and a oven scourer (no it does not scratch the glass).

I use a high pressure steam machine works the best

I recently bought a place and I am convinced that a chicken exploded in the oven.

I used the handy andy in the pink bottle (handy andy cream I think it is) to clean the oven, worked like a charm.

generally easy-off bang for daily use but once a week, steam cleaner (verimark/glomail) - works very well.

I've found ZEB to be the best and if its an old oven, just use Vim. Don't forget to heat up your oven before cleaning it though, thats the secret.

Zeb - the harsh stuff - works best. Look for the can that says high speed. The caustic free version sucks.

Every on in a while I unscrew teh oven glass and clean it separately. (Or at least get one of the cleaners to do it for me)

Another BIG tip I can offer is to use Zeb only on your stainless steel hob surface. Works like a charm. Just dont get if on your granite tops ...
