Greetings
So i assembled my new pc this afternoon, installed windows and
all that good stuff. Problem i'm having is that after i installed
windows, put the pc off for a while and then switched it on just
now i get a blank screen. No post, nothing
It will only POST if i clear the CMOS and then choose to load default
settings, thereafter it will work as normal. Once i switch it off and
then try and boot up again i'm faced with the same problem
So basically, if i want to boot into windows successfully i have to
clear the CMOS before booting up. Also, if i access the bios (sort
drive configurations and stuff) after clearing the CMOS i'm back to
square one (it just gives me a blank screen before post)
It can't be an overheating issue because when i do get into
windows ad run everest, my idle temps are in the low 40s and
under load i hit 65 (max temp is 75 right?)
System specs are
I7 940
ASUS P6T
OCZ DDR3 1600 3X2GB
Using a old PCI graphics card
700w Thermaltake Toughpower psu
Thanks in advance
