IMO you should only go windows tablet when you're pushing on the premium end. Anything less than 3k and you're better off with an android based tablet. Despite what they would like you to believe a fully fledged windows 10 OS on tablet hardware is not a particularly good experience.

Android is optimised for the mobile experience (a good factory reset every now and then would still do you good). But to answer your actual question id stay away from any kind of in-house branding. It's just cheap chinese *** with a new sticker.

My problem with android is almost none of it's software interests me at all, I have plenty of low footprint windows apps and games that are not pay-to-win. My other problem is I REALLY don't feel like breaking the bank for a tablet.

Windows 10 on an atom Z3735F +2gb ram.. very enjoyable if you don't use chrome. Most people that complain about atoms + windows 10 + 2gb = they use chrome with a million tabs, which these things cant handle.

I have my old Lenovo miix8 using an atom Z3735F + 2gb running windows 10 pro, can play games (just don't expect it to run tombraider/forza or such from the store) browse interwebs/Netflix, have it as a glorified afterhours downloader, it never gets turned off or restarted.

And it only cost R2k at the time.

I have another brand of winblows tablet with only 1gb of ram and the performance is surprising... I really did not expect it to even boot with 1gb but it's pretty good if you're only using one application at a time

People completely underestimate how much ram browsing with tabs uses yes, I did too until I actually took the time to monitor it on a PC.

This a newer version. The previous version is 16gb ROM & 1gb RAM.

I've got that useless Sansui Windows tablet that screwed up on Win 10 update, can't recover either as it just doesn't pick up the image.

Hi-Fi Corp will refund you if it's still under warranty. There's a thread here for that tablet on the forum somewhere.

LoL because no shop has ever inflated the price of an item to make the discount seem incredible right? surely they're not just trying to push bad selling/discontinued products out the door right?
